A HomeGoods store will open in Gresham Station in the summer of 2027.

The space was formerly occupied by a World Market, which moved into an adjacent space in the Gresham Station shopping center.

Gresham Station is also home to stores such as Best Buy, Maurices, Ulta and Old Navy. The new HomeGoods store will be 24,566 square feet.

HomeGoods is a subsidiary of TJX (NYSE: TJX), the company that also owns TJ Maxx. There are currently several HomeGoods locations in the Portland metropolitan area. Now that the lease for Oregon’s newest HomeGoods has been signed, construction on the Gresham location will begin imminently.

“Consumers are very excited about HomeGoods,” said Jay Fetherston, senior vice president of retail for Schnitzer Properties, the company that owns the shopping center.

“We've changed most of the lineup at Gresham Station,” he said. “That level of reinventing a center and that identity within the community — we're extremely excited about that.”

Fetherston praised the City of Gresham as well.

“Everybody at the city has been fantastic to work with since we've owned this, and that certainly applies to this recent HomeGoods lease,” he said.

“Our permit was processed with incredible speed. Everybody from the planning department to economic development to City Council has been engaged with us as a partner, and that's a really refreshing message that I think the region may want to hear.”
