Tenant Spotlight: JadaBug’s Kids Boutique

How a Boutique Built on Care, Community, and Quality Became a Coachella Valley Favorite

In the heart of Schnitzer Properties’ Plaza La Quinta, in Palm Springs, California, JadaBug’s Kids Boutique has become much more than a children’s store—it’s a vibrant, community‑centered space where families across the Coachella Valley feel at home. As the region’s only premium children’s boutique, JadaBug’s has carved out a distinct identity by offering high‑quality products, expert guidance, and genuine warmth that starts at the front door.

For owner Heidi McArthur, the boutique’s success is inseparable from the support she’s received from Schnitzer Properties. Her relationship with the team began before JadaBug’s even opened its doors in Plaza La Quinta.

“Shauna from Schnitzer Properties helped us secure the space, but I have had great relationships with Schnitzer Properties—even a breakfast with Lindy!” Heidi recalls, laughing.

That early welcome set the tone for a partnership that has now spanned years and milestones.

When JadaBug’s first arrived in Plaza La Quinta, the shop measured just 1,300 square feet. It wasn’t long before growing demand called for something larger. Heidi remembers the transition clearly:

“We expanded from 1,300 square feet to 4,000 to accommodate our growth—our experience making it our own was fully supported.”

Today, the expanded store offers a wide range of children’s apparel (from preemie to size 14), beloved brands like Jellycat, UPPAbaby, Nuna, Stokke, Doona, and Mayoral, and everything from toys to gear rentals—making it a true one‑stop destination for families.

Many tenants talk about the importance of supportive landlords, but Heidi speaks of Schnitzer Properties’ involvement with unusual affection.

“Schnitzer Properties has been along with us every step of the way and I cannot thank them enough. I always know they are a call—or pop in visit—away,” she says.

It’s an experience so positive that she’s become an unofficial ambassador for Plaza La Quinta: “My experience has been so positive that I have encouraged other tenants to be in our community like Art Major! Schnitzer Properties is a healthy and loyal team.”

This sense of loyalty flows both ways. Schnitzer Properties’ on‑site care, responsiveness, and relationship‑driven approach have helped build a community where business owners know each other, support each other, and share in each other’s success.

For Heidi, it’s this community—of fellow tenants, families who shop regularly, and the Schnitzer Properties team—that keeps the boutique feeling grounded even as the store evolves.

“Their team genuinely cares. They listen, they follow through, and they want us to succeed,” she explains. “It feels like we’re part of a real community, not just a business center.”
